Welcome, Jack William Saunders!!!!

After much anticipation, I am SO SO SO SO SO pleased and proud to introduce Kelley and Scott's new baby boy, Jack William Saunders!! Welcome to the world, baby Jack!!!!

Baby Jack was born on September 24, 2008 (a totally appropriate date, I might add) at 8:24PM weighing in at 8.2 pounds. He is 21 inches tall.

Jack and Kelley are doing great!

Everyone is so glad that you're finally here, baby boy! We can't wait to meet you!!!!!!!!!!

The technological side of childbirth...

Below is the text conversation that I have been having with Kelley and/or Mima today. I didn't include any of my messages because most of them are just "Oh my God"s and "It's so exciting"s, and Kelley's/Mima's are WAY more interesting (and informative)! Stay tuned... I am going to be updating this specific post with each text I get. There may even be some pictures/videos too!!

Kelley (9:16am): sitting here with my Pitocin not much changed from Cervadil but i am having regular contractions not at drug stage yet

Mima (9:18am): kell texting you!

Mima (9:18am): so excited kris

Mima (11:09am): jack really content where he is. all is well still.

Mima (11:19am): they just moved potosin up 1 more. wish you were here. the pic od you and liam is priceless. xoxoxo

Mima (11:28am): big sigh

Mima (12:05pm): contracts too few too often so they lowered so that they'll be a little further apart but stronger. it appears to be working

Mima (12:12pm): sharing so you're part of this! (stay tuned for VIDEO)

Mima (1:10pm): things slowing little.. nurse going to call dr in hr to see if he should come back and break water

Mima (1:15pm): starting up again. poor kell is so hungry

Mima (1:20): yes. contractions seems to be starting up again. no eating. she had an apple around midnight. we keep hearing her tummy growling on monitor!

Mima (2:21pm): just upped potosin from 6 to 8. little stinker doesn't want to come out. she's doing great!

Mima (2:55pm): nurse calling dr. now. she also increased potosin to 10!

Mima (3:11pm): ok. dr coming after seeing a patient and he's going to break her water!

Mima (3:14pm): OUR BABY GIRL IS HAVING A BABY SOON!!!

Mima (3:55pm): dr STILL not here. jack giving mommy some really big kicks!

Mima (3:59pm): lol. his little heart rate is really up there too! sometimes off the chart. am going to take picture for you

Mima (4:00pm): dr here (this "dr" was actually one of the doctors on call at the hospital though... not Kelley's actual doctor. He is STILL not there!)

Mima (5:21pm)

Mima (6:21pm): 5 c's !

Mima (6:27pm): nurse getting anesthesiologist because her back really crampy feeling. she's very uncomfortable but doing so good!

Pop-pop (7:17pm): 9 centimeters. Should be within the hour!

Mima (7:38pm): she just said 'this little f'er is kicking me'. lol. they're going to check herr again at 9

Mima (7:44pm): i meant checking her at 8!

Pop-pop (8:26pm): Started pushing around 8 no news yet!

Pop-pop (8:31pm): He has arrived! No size yet.

Pop-pop (8:40pm): No vitals yet but born at 8 24 on 9 24. Almost surely Jack Bauer!

Well that's it, ladies and gentlemen!!!!! JACK IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!! Stay tuned for a post with pictures and stats! Mima called me and I HEARD HIM CRYING! He sounds PERFECT!!!!!!

OK, so you're not born yet. But you will be... and today! So technically, it's your birthday! It's literally your BIRTH DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are never on time!

In the words of my sister in law... "This baby is clearly on Edwards time, even in the womb" so Scott & I are scheduled to be admitted tonight into the hospital to be induced. The doctor will give me the Cervadil tonight and the Pitocin tomorrow morning and hopefully by tomorrow night we will finally get to meet him :)

WE ARE SO EXCITED AND CAN'T BELIEVE ITS FINALLY TIME!!!!

She has been telling me for months that Jack should be born today, her birthday, however it doesnt appear to be going as she hoped - but there are still a few hours left in the day so maybe Jack will surprise us later.

ONE WEEK!

In one week, there will be another baby in the Edwards/Saunders family! That's right, everyone... if baby Jack doesn't come on his own in the next week, Kelley is going into the hospital to be induced (Tuesday 9/23 at 7pm)... and one way or another, within a week (here's hoping!), he will FINALLY BE HERE!

So... get ready! Kelley and Scott: go out to dinner a lot, go to see a few movies, SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP, and enjoy one another... because soon there will be a new love in your lives, and he will blow your minds!

I had a dream last night that Kelley had the baby at 2:47. I don't know if it was 2:47PM or 2:47AM, but yes, 2:47 is the magic number.

WAITING......

Today is the first day of my maternity leave...... sitting here patiently waiting for the little man to get here. So far he is cozy where he is and has given me no signs of coming yet. Bags are packed & my phone is full of Scott's coworkers phone numbers in case he decides to come on a game day! The suspense is killing me!!!
