SUMMER IS HERE!

It's been a while since my last post lol. A whole season has passed to be exact - so that makes me terrible! We have been a busy family & Jack has had SO MANY milestones. All my recaps will be brief but there will be a lot of pictures. Unfortunately my camera broke, so all my pictures now come from my cell phone :( It's awful not having a camera to capture all of his milestones :( I am saving for a really nice camera, hopefully I get it sooner than later!

I was lucky to have one Tuesday off - which is Little Gym day for Jack - so I got to join in on the fun that he has with MiMa every Tuesday. It was so great to see him play with all of the other babies his age.

We also got to spend time at one of Daddy's games - which of course they won! We have so much fun watching the boy's play and sitting with all of the parents!

Then, Uncle Jack & Aunt Brenda (MiMa's brother & sister in law) came in from Washington State & finally got to meet Jack!!! They were here for over a week, so Jack had lots of time to get to know and play with them! Hopefully, the next time we are all together again Jack isn't in college!

Once Uncle Jack & Aunt Brenda left,we had a special day ahead of us - Mother's Day! It was obviously my first Mother's Day with Jack here :) Last year, I celebrated my "Mother to Be Day" in North Carolina with Auntie Krissy, Uncle Dave & Liam and it was so special! This year, Scott had a great day planned for me. We started it with a great snuggle session in bed with the little man and then headed out to breakfast. The restaurant was full of mommies and we had a delicious breakfast. Jack munched on his yogurt melts and puffs while Scott & I enjoyed our food. After that we headed to the store to get ready for our bbq. Our plan was to relax at home with Scott's mom, my mom, my nana and the rest of my family. Scott slaved over the grill cooking steaks, chicken, sausage, hot dogs & hamburgers! He seriously made a feast and everyone was stuffed!! After dinner, Jack had so much fun playing with his MiMa, Nanny & Great Nana! To top off the great day, it was gorgeous outside so we played dingle balls while I drank some delicious margaritas compliments of Pop Pop :)I am so thankful for Scott & the rest of our family for making the day so special - I have an amazing family & am truly blessed :) I am so lucky to be Jack's Mommy!!

This is the only picture I have of Jack & I together on Mother's Day....

We were so busy playing that the whole day flew by and before we knew it, Jack was sound asleep ready for bed :( I didn't have the heart to wake him up for a picture. I did get some pictures the day after while we were playing on the couch....

Memorial Day weekend, we went bbq hopping & Jack got to spend some quality time with his cousins :) He played in a bouncy castle for the first time & loved every minute! We also got to meet baby Alyssa for the first time & she is just the cutest thing ever!

He also spent a day in New Jersey playing with his other cousins! I think that he terrified Dominick and Charlie with all of his "superhero" sounds. They would quickly back away from him everytime he would start to roar at them. It was hilarious!

I have started to notice Jack shifting from a "mommy's boy" to "daddy's boy." It's very hard for me to admit this but at the same time so cute to watch. He is always, always looking for Scott when he leaves the room and sometimes even cries. I am sad to say, Jack has yet to cry when I leave him for work in the morning lol. My favorite is when Jack sits outside the bathroom door which is adjoining in his bedroom and waits for Scott to come out, I love it! Jack just idolizes his daddy!

Now onto our little man's milestones :) I feel like everything sort of happened in one week and since then, it's just been crazy! He's clapping, sitting up, crawling & even pulling himself up on anything he can get his hands on. IT'S INSANE! He is no longer this stationary little person we can just plop anywhere. Once he wakes up, he is ready to go & wants to be everywhere and see everything. His first tooth has even come through!!

Now comes the job of making sure everything is totally baby proofed in our house! I would much rather just put him in a giant bubble for the rest of his life, but that's not exactly realistic. As excited as I am that Jack is crawling and doing all of these things, it also makes me sad. I want to just bottle him up at this age and keep him just the way he is, my little nugget. He is growing so fast!
