"DUCK!"

Jack said his first real word today! He has been saying the usual mama/dada for a few months now, but today, he looked up at me & said DUCK! He was sitting in the tub, surrounded by all his rubber duckies. Our typical bathtime routine includes me asking where his duck is/ what sound does the duck make blah blah blah. Today, I did this as usual, one duck floated away & he pointed to it, looked up at me & said duck!!! He even laughed after he said it, as if he knew he just did something totally amazing!!! I almost died, and then I almost cried because my baby boy is growing so so fast! I have been off for the last 2 1/2 weeks from work & have loved every single second of it! It was so hard to go back to work & leave him, however, I am fortunate with my job to get these breaks where I get to be with him. And I love that I was able to be home & see his big beautiful eyes look up at me and say duck!

We've Been BUSY!!!!

It has been over a month since my last post - I am terrible!!!!We have had such a busy summer so far & I have not had time! So the writing in this post will be short but there will be A LOT of pictures!!!

Jack's 1st 4th of July!! We celebrated in Hampton Bays with Matt, Kim, Daria & Eddie. Thanks to Kim's parents who invited us to spend the weekend on their boat! Jack had his 1st boat ride & was the most handsome life jacket model ever! We missed the fireworks (Jack was sleeping as usual anyway) so we will have to wait until next year to see his reaction to them......
