We had sooooo much fun this Christmas! Last year, celebrating Jack's 1st Christmas was exciting, but this year was even better!!! He is still obviously very young to know what is going on, but he is no longer the "blob" he was last year that slept 90%of the day! ( although he does still sleep a ridiculous amount)
We got our house all ready for the holidays pretty early this year, mainly because I couldn't wait to get the tree up & see Jack's reaction. So the weekend after Thanksgiving, Scott was ordered to brave the back of our storage closet & pull everything out for me :) After a few short hours, the house was transformed & Jack could care less! He smiled and clapped for the lights on the tree but other than that, he was more interested in his cars and blocks. We had set up the gate around the tree, letting him know that it was "not for babies." That only lasted a few days and came down after we realized that Jack was not at all phased by the sparkling green tree in our living room. Strange, but we didn't complain. The only time he would approach the tree was when he wanted to give it a kiss! So cute! I loved it!

Then it was time to take Jack to see Santa. I actually thought that he might be a little hesitant to sit on the fat man's lap but LOVED him. His picture came out priceless :)

CHRISTMAS EVE! Scott & I hosted dinner at our house this year & it was great. It was special because Jack had all of his grandparents together and almost all his aunts and uncles. Auntie Krissy, Uncle Dave, Liam & Auntie Kristin were there in spirit :( ( Boo to relatives that live far away!!) Everyone was an enormous help and the dinner was delicious! I have to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Pop Pop who washed EVERY single dish voluntarily & did not complain once. Our dishwasher started leaking that morning, so we were afraid to use it. Pop Pop literally did dishes for close to an hour. THANK YOU POP POP!!!

CHRISTMAS MORNING! Jack woke up much earlier than usual - he must have known Santa had come! He was up and ready to go at 6am!!! Mommy & Daddy were still very tired but way too excited to see his reaction to what was under the tree.

We helped him open all of his gifts & his face lit up for each gift! Except the clothes, the snow pants were not nearly as exciting as his new sit and spin! After we opened presents, we had some breakfast, took a great nap & headed over to MiMa & Pop Pops to open gifts there. Unfortunately that had to be quicker than usual because they had to leave for church. Once we left there we began our rounds. First stop Nanny's house. Next stop cousin Tommy's house where Jack played with all the kids and had a blast. Then it was back to MiMa & Pop Pops for dinner. It was an absolutely exhausting but WONDERFUL day and we loved every minute of it. All three of us were totally spoiled by our parents!!! Jack now has more toys than we know what to do with!! Thank you!!!

Of course, you can never just celebrate for one day, so the festivities continued into Saturday & Sunday!!! Saturday we stopped by Scott's Aunt Joan & Uncle Bruce's house for their dinner. They have the most beautiful house & Jack chased their dog Sabrina around the house the whole time. He also experienced Captain Crunch for the first time & drooled blue & red for about an hour!

From there we headed into New Jersey for Anelysse's 1st Birthday Party. Anelysse is the daughter of the couple we met on our honeymoon. She was born last Christmas & had her birthday party at a Little Gym. I love that we have kept in contact with them & it's always a good time when we get together! Maybe Jack & Anelysse are destined to get married!!!

And last but not least, today was our 2nd Christmas dinner at MiMa & Pop Pops. This one included Aunt Kathy & Uncle Jimmy. This one was extra special because we had a fabulous video conference with Auntie Krissy & cousin Liam :) Dinner was delicious as usual & I am now sitting here in my sweats thanking God that I wear scrubs to work with an elastic waistband!!

Towards the end of night, Jack started to get fussy & this was the only thing that would make him happy....

HaHa, all the toys he gets for Christmas and all he wants to do is play with Scott's CPR dummy! I love it!!!!
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas & thank you to everyone who made ours so special!! Can't wait for next year!!!
