NICKELODEON PRESENT STORYTIME LIVE!
Jack does not seem to have a favorite tv show but he does have a favorite character or character's I should say.... Moose A. Moose & Zee D. Bird. Moose & Zee are the "masters of ceremonies" on Nick Jr. They come on in between every show & teach some sort of lesson or sing some sort of catchy tune. To say that Jack likes them would be a total understatement. He is completely obsessed with them. For every trip to the doctor, for every meltdown, for every time mommy or daddy needs to get something done, we have relied on Moose & Zee to work their musical magic. When we heard that they were coming to Radio City Music Hall, along with some other characters from Nick Jr., we knew we had to be there. Tickets were pricey, to say the least, but we couldn't miss this opportunity. Along with Moose & Zee, The Backyardigans, Ne Hao Kai Lan (spelling?), The Wonder Pets & Dora the Explorer were also at the show. I searched and searched until I could find tickets in the front row of any section, so that we would have plenty of space for Jack to roam around if he needed. I lucked out and found 1st row, 1st mezzanine and when we got there, we discovered we had two empty seats on either side as well! It was perfect! Jack was very cautious for the first few minutes, completely overwhelmed with how many people were there and how loud it was. But once he heard a familiar song, he completely let loose! He was up and down from his seat, walking back and forth, going from Mommy's lap to Daddy's lap! It was so much fun watching him look around and go in and out of his "trance" with whatever was going on on stage. He even had his first taste of cotton candy (which I'm ashamed to say I spent $12 on!!!!) He is still undecided on whether or not he likes it I think, but it was hilarious to watch him hold it and test it out! And Jack's 1st trip to the city would not be complete without his first taste of a "dirty water dog!" Which of course, he LOVED!!!

HAPPY EASTER!
Happy Easter! We had a great day with our little man. Every holiday seems to be more fun as Jack gets older (all 1 1/2 years old :) )For the past week or so, Jack has been under the weather, but it really has not changed his mood, which we are thankful for. We woke up Easter morning and had our egg hunt and then packed up for the diner since Mommy did not have any food to cook for breakfast :( Unfortunately, Jack was not loving being strapped in a high chair at the diner so we got our food to go & enjoyed it just as much in the comforts of our own home! Then Uncle Jonny & Auntie Elissa came to visit. They gave Jack the cutest basket with a soft chick which Jack adores! Dinner was at MiMa & PopPop's, and it was DELICIOUS! She had our usual "big kids" Easter egg hunt set up, which was ridiculously hard this year. We were also celebrating Uncle Brian's birthday, which was the day before, which meant Jack got to enjoy some ice cream cake! Unfortunately, we had to cut it a little short to take Jack to the doctor since he was totally covered with some sort of rash. I was afraid that it may be the chicken pox, but the doctor assured us that it was an allergic reaction the the amoxicillin that he has been on. Scott & his mother are both allergic to penicillin to I guess he wants to be just like Daddy & Nanny. Aside from our quick trip to the doctor, we had a great day, and Jack was totally spoiled by his grandparents. Apparently, Easter is the new Christmas!

JACK'S 1st TRIP TO YANKEE STADIUM!
Scott's coworker John was taking his sons on a Boy Scout trip to Yankee Stadium for a tour & we totally crashed!!! Scott has a rule that Jack is not allowed to attend his first Yankee game until he is old enough to remember it, but he has nothing against going on a tour! It was my first time to the new stadium so I was really excited. We left the house all decked out in our Yankee gear and it was a beautiful day! We even hooked up our new portable DVD player in the car & Jack & I watched the Jungle Book on the way down. Then it happened.... about a mile or so away from the stadium, Jack looked at me with a huge smile and VOMMED EVERYWHERE! I couldn't believe it, I had such visions of a perfect "Yankee family picture." All I could do was laugh, because Jack thought it was hilarious. Scott, on the other hand, was gagging non-stop while trying to drive. It was priceless. We cleaned him up as much as we could, and threw on his Yankee jacket that we had packed, thank God! We had also just bought a new hat for him as well, which of course, I forgot in the car. Thankfully, we think Jack just had a little motion sickness from watching the DVD, and was happy as can be for the tour. It was difficult at some points, when he just wanted to run around (we had to carry him the whole time) but overall, he seemed to have a great time! And Jeter jersey or no Jeter jersey, I couldn't be happier with our family pictures at Yankee Stadium!
