HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year! Last year, Jack had just turned one and was just starting to walk. There was really no trick or treating, except of course for Nanny & MiMa & Pop Pop's house! This year, we've got a walker and talker... basically a little man :) :)

Last year, I picked his costume based on cuteness, however, this year I had to find something practical. Something he would be comfortable in and I could layer underneath, since we would actually be outside in it. UPS Man was the perfect find! We considered changing it to IPS, and having him be Doug Heffernan from The King of Queens, but didn't think everyone would get that.
Daria & Eddie have the perfect street for trick or treating so we met Maryann & Ali there, along with Daria's neices Giavana & Gabriella. We didn't have much time but we did get about six houses, which was more than enough for Jack (and Mommy & Daddy). Jack said "trick or treat" at every door and I have to say, without even being prompted, said "dank you" after each piece of candy fell in his basket. We were very proud! We left there & headed to MiMa & PopPop's house for my birthday dinner, where Jack was spoiled with more candy from the grandparents! He was totally exhausted and did not get to nap, but it was well worth it :)

SWEET 16!

That is how many teeth our little beast has!!! 8 on top 8 on bottom :)

Today was Jack's first trip to the dentist. It went SO much better than I anticipated! He did AMAZING!! The waiting room was stocked with blocks & books to keep him occupied and once we were brought into the exam room, the hygienist came right in so there was no waiting. She asked me a few questions then got right to business! Instead of having Jack sit in the "scary" chair, he sat on my lap facing me, then I laid him back, placing his head on her lap. I held his hands & he kept his eyes on me the entire time :) We chose orange as the flavor of his cleaner since every night he picks an orange vitamin over all the other colors! I think he was too nervous to move while she cleaned him so he just focused on me while I talked to him. Once the hygienist finished, it would be a few minutes before the dentist came in. To pass the time, she gave Jack fake quarters and brought him to some toy machines!! I thought that was the best idea! Jack had more fun putting the money in the slots than he did with the toys that came out! We were called back in maybe 5 minutes later & the dentist checked him out, smeared some glaze on his chompers and we were done! She said his teeth look great, no cavities & keep up the good work!
I am thankful we found such a wonderful office who made his experience so much fun!

That is how Jack says "pumpkin!" He actually screams it everytime he sees one! So Sunday we decided to take Jack "Duckin Picking." I did a little research and found really great reviews of Heaven Hill Farms in Vernon, NJ. It was almost an hour away and the drive was beautiful with all the leaves turning colors! Jack of course, fell asleep 5 minutes before we arrived, but was super excited once he saw what we were about to do. We had a great day, but I will say that it is not a cheap trip... they charge you to get in, then once you are in, if you want to ride any rides, they charge you again, and the same goes for the pony rides and animal feed at the petting zoo section. But, Jack loved it, so it was worth every penny. We will definitely be returning next year :)
