I'll know!

Around St. Patrick's Day of 2006, my phone rang. Then it rang again. And again. And again. I remember being in the middle of something and being annoyed that "whomever" was calling over, and over, and over again.

A few minutes later, I got a text message. I finally stopped whatever I was doing and went to my phone (truthfully? I was a little worried! What was the urgency!!?). The text message was from Pop-pop. It said something along the lines of, "Answer your phone."

I looked at my missed calls. Kelley.

I knew!! They were engaged!

Then, almost two years later, I got an invitation for a video call on MSN Messenger from Mima. It was almost 11 at night. As I was waiting for the picture to load, I was IMing. I discovered that it was Kelley calling from Mima's computer.

I knew!! She was pregnant!

I can not WAIT for the call that will inevitably come in less than a month. I don't care what time the call comes (hint, hint)... when it comes... I'll know!!!!

Ashton Jeffrey Parker was born on Sat, August 9th to proud parents Amy & Matt Parker.... I can't wait for Jack to get here so he can meet AJ and they can become the best of friends!!! Congratulations Matt & Amy!!

My Baby Shower!

Here are some pics from the amazing baby shower that MiMa threw for me. As usual, she went completely overboard and thought of every little detail. From the frog prince invitations to the prince plates for my guests to sign and the cutest jungle diaper cake.... everything was perfect. I had such a great day and was completely spoiled by everyone. I was overwhelmed with the amount of gifts and am quite certain that there is not one thing Jack will need when he gets here.

While I was at my shower.... Scott had a man shower as well. Matt came over bright and early and they smoked a delicious pork shoulder for the men to eat. Their day was full of beer, bbq'ing and dingle balls.
