Around St. Patrick's Day of 2006, my phone rang. Then it rang again. And again. And again. I remember being in the middle of something and being annoyed that "whomever" was calling over, and over, and over again.
A few minutes later, I got a text message. I finally stopped whatever I was doing and went to my phone (truthfully? I was a little worried! What was the urgency!!?). The text message was from Pop-pop. It said something along the lines of, "Answer your phone."
I looked at my missed calls. Kelley.
I knew!! They were engaged!
Then, almost two years later, I got an invitation for a video call on MSN Messenger from Mima. It was almost 11 at night. As I was waiting for the picture to load, I was IMing. I discovered that it was Kelley calling from Mima's computer.
I knew!! She was pregnant!
I can not WAIT for the call that will inevitably come in less than a month. I don't care what time the call comes (hint, hint)... when it comes... I'll know!!!!

OMG. PopPop & I are sitting here and it is coming down to the wire! Our baby girl and our incredible son-in-law are sitting in their house waiting as well. We are all waiting for YOU Jack. We are so excited. I remember vividly feeling like this 20 months and 5 days ago!!! We were waiting for David & Kristin to make that call to us! And then it came! Liam James Edwards had arrived!!!! Your first child --having a child -- is unbelievable; becoming a grandparent, what an incredible feeling that is! Holding Liam for the first time. Seeing Dave & Kristin as 'Mommy & Daddy' for the first time! There are no words to express how that feels. And now it is about to happen to us again! Our baby girl having a baby! A few more weeks and Jack will be here. Life is so good! We are so blessed! We can't wait to hold you Jack! MiMa & PopPop xoxoxoxox
