Birthday Month!!!

Scott always makes fun of me because I still get so so excited about my birthday. I don't understand when people complain that it will be their birthday & they will be another year older. It baffles me. Clearly, the alternative is much worse :) so I love love love birthdays. And of course, I am super happy that it is Jack's birthday month, so I have been busy planning away and trying to make it as special as possible.

When Jack was born, we had his birth announcements taken at Sadies in the mall. They take the most amazing pictures but are very expensive. I remember seeing this one panoramic picture hanging behind the register of a baby boy in his diaper. He is sitting with a birthday cake and there are 5 shots of him gradually getting messier and messier. I swore I would take Jack back to get that picture done, but I couldn't justify spending nearly $200 for it. So I improvised. It's very rare for Scott to actually be home on a Saturday afternoon during football season, but since it was a holiday weekend, he was home early. I was so excited that Scott would be home to help! I baked a cake while Jack napped & got the "set" ready.

I don't know if we would have had as much fun with a professional taking the pictures and I am thrilled with the way they came out. It was a great day!
