Friday night we met some friends at the Italian Festival. I had to wake Jack up from a 5 hour nap, so the timing worked out perfect. He was well rested and we did not have to rush home for normal bedtime! We started the night out with some seriously delicious sausage & peppers, fried oreos & funnel cake then moved on to the carnival. Jack loved the rides as usual and was in total awe of everything going on around him! To top the night off, Auntie Maryann & Auntie Daria won Jack not one, not two but THREE goldfish. Jack was so so excited and did not want to let go of his new little friends! It was a great night with friends & Jack was like a rockstar staying up till 10:30!!
Saturday morning we woke up bright & early & headed to Pennsylvania. We were going to Grandma & Grandpa's grand opening of there new Sears Hometown Store! To celebrate the occasion, they had arranged for the local radio station to be there, some live music and even a visit from the fire department. Not surprising, Jack's favorite part of the event was the fire truck. He had free reign on the whole truck and it was no easy task getting him to come off of it!!
We were happy to be a part of the big day & wish them all the best on their new adventure!
On our way home from the store, we passed a sign for Bushkill Falls. Everytime we are in Pennsylvania, I tell Scott I want to go. It was a beautiful day so we decided to check it out. Of course, Scott & I were the only two idiots hiking in flip flops. There were four trails to chose from, since Jack was with us, we originally chose the quickest one because Jack had not napped but he was having so much fun we kept going on the trail and walked about an hour. The falls were beautiful and the weather could not have been better, all of which made for a perfect day :)
